Below, you will find the email commands that YahooGroups currently support. Sending a blank message to these addresses will modify your account as explained. The email must be coming from the EXACT same address which is subscribed to the list.
1. DesiMasala-Digest@YahooGroups.Com:
This changes your delivery setting to Daily Digest so you will receive only one mail in a day summarizing all of the days mails. No matter how many messages are sent throughout the day, you will be sent only one mail a day:) One downside of this option is sometimes you won't receive any mail at all even though messages have been posted that day:( This is due to some unknown bug/glitch in YahooGroups! If that happens to you, or if you do not like the daily digest, please email DesiMasala-Normal@YahooGroups.Com to reset to individual email delivery.
2. DesiMasala-Normal@YahooGroups.Com:
This changes your delivery setting to Individual Emails. This is also the default when you join the group.
3. DesiMasala-NoMail@YahooGroups.Com:
This changes your delivery setting to no message delivery, read messages via the web page. Now all your mails, will be stored on the web at http://www.groups.yahoo.com/group/DesiMasala. You may view the messages at any time by logging on to http://groups.yahoo.com site by using a YAHOO id. Using this option will allow you to remain on the DesiMasala list without receiving any mails in your mailbox but you'll still be able to view them on the web:) You can also use this option as a vacation hold.
4. DesiMasala-Subscribe@YahooGroups.Com:
This subscribes your email address to this group. This must come from the EXACT same address which needs to be subscribed to the list. If you can add a subscribe box for our list on your site, you will be rewarded appropriately! You may pick up the HTML code for a subscribe box from http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DesiMasala/promote.
5. DesiMasala-Unsubscribe@YahooGroups.Com:
This removes your address from this group. If you are having TROUBLE IN UNSUBSCRIBING, it may be because you are getting our mails forwarded from some other email accounts. Please give us ALL email addresses from where you may be getting forwarded mails and we will remove it from this list.
6. To CHANGE your email address, subscribe from the new account by sending a blank mail to DesiMasala-Subscribe@YahooGroups.Com. Than unsubscribe the old address by sending a blank mail to DesiMasala-Unsubscribe@YahooGroups.Com from the account you wish to discontinue.
Please allow fifteen minutes for any changes to be made to your account when using these email commands.
